Abstract

A food truck is a large motorized vehicle (such as a van) or trailer, equipped to cook, prepare, serve, and/or sell food. The reason why I want to make a food truck business is because I want to sell and spread my product in various places. With food truck I can join food truck community in Surabaya and join carnival, music festival, and also event. The products that I sell are Middle Eastern cuisine and the name of the business is “The Oasis”. The reason why I chose Middle East cuisine is because I’m interested and love the taste of Middle East cuisine. The signature dish in The Oasis is kofta burger. Kofta is a family of meatball found in Middle Eastern and usually served in skewer. It consist of minced meat mixed with spice and other ingredient. An oasis is an area made fertile by a source of freshwater in an otherwise dry and arid region. For this reason, oases in the Sahara and throughout the world have become important stops along trade routes. Merchants and traders who travel along these routes must stop at oases to replenish food and water supplies. I chose the oasis as my business name because I want my food truck to be the food source that many people are looking for. In addition, oasis often found in the Middle East because there are many deserts there.
