Abstract
JW Marriott Surabaya Hotel is one the best five stars hotel in Surabaya, therefore the writer had learned a lot from her six months training experience at Imari Japanese Restaurant. The writer has gain knowledge on how to work effectively and efficiently in the team, increase responsibilities, effective communication skills, depth understanding of food safety, how to handle crisis and treated it professionally, further knowing the work environment in hospitality industry and could get the lesson and a lot of experiences. During the six months of the internship at Imari Japanese Restaurant, all members of Imari Japanese Restaurant staff, the kitchen team and the service team were being helpful, open, and approachable therefore further faster the learning process. The writer had managed to learned and did many things in the culinary department such as making Miso Soup, Chawanmushi, Salmon Shio, Karaage, Agedashi Tofu, et cetera, how to make Tempura, Sushi Roll, fillet a fish, et cetera, know the real working environment in hospitality industry and could get the lesson and a lot of experiences. The Japanese Executive Chef also train us how to be a Chef with a good attitude
