Abstract

Food is a primary need for every human being. Aside from that, food is frequently used to reflect a culture and is an art. Cooking may be similar like painting. Just like making a masterpiece, there are recipes and ingredients available. Sometimes, you don't have to follow the standard recipe. You are free to express yourself. You can even develop new recipes that are both innovative and practical in their execution. Each region in Indonesia has different basic ingredients, cooking methods, and presentation methods. Therefore, Indonesian local cuisine can be an example where a food shows a culture and art in it. Unfortunately, there are still many people who underestimate Indonesian cuisine, especially the basic ingredients used. Many people today think that a delicious food must come from premium raw materials, or all raw materials must go through imported goods. So that some people finally put aside the local basic ingredients. Even though we need to know that there are quite a lot of Indonesian basic ingredients that can be made into food that is no less delicious than food that uses imported ingredients.
