Abstract

The writer started her journey of internship in Italy on 9th January 2021. In Italy, the writer studied Italian Language as the requirements to work in Italy. The language school is located in a very beautiful location and an old building, it made the writer very enthusiastic in learning in this school. 2 months in Italy makes the writer able to speak daily Italian language. Beside language, the writer also had an Italian cooking academy. In the cooking academy, she was taught to prepare Tuscany culinary and bread. She was taught to cook Italian cuisine from the starch, for example fresh pasta, and every type of Italian flours. After 2 months in Italy, she had to go home because of the covid situation in Italy. The writer continued her internship in Ciccia Ristorante, Surabaya. In this high�end Italian restaurant, the writer had learned so much, not only Italian Cuisines, but also the restaurant management. Chef Matteo Meacci gives her so much opportunity to learn so many things. Every dish in the menu were taught to the writer. In Ciccia Ristorante there are 4 stations of the kitchen. The writer was able to work in every station, except the main course station. In the restaurant, beside learning about the dishes, the main key to achieve a successful restaurant is teamwork. There are so many people working in one place, it needs a great teamwork to make the dream works. Every employee needs to know what their job descriptions are, this way, everything will go as planned. In Ciccia Ristorante, the writer was able to be a part of a great teamwork. This internship program was a very unforgettable moment for the writer.
