Abstract

An internship is where the author get the opportunity to work for a company to help further your skills and experience in your chosen field. For example, in the hospitality management field of study, this might be working in a hotel or a resort. Internships have different lengths, but they are usually fixed-term. An internship could last for any predetermined length of time, from weeks to months. Through this 6-month internship at Xiang Fu Hai Vasa Hotel Surabaya has been an increasingly valuable and enriching experience. Throughout this period, The author have gained hands-on knowledge of hotel operations such as ordering ingredients according to quality standards, efficient work methods, and how to use a wok.
