Abstract

During my internship, the author learned about various hotel facilities, such as restaurants and pastry kitchens, as well as cooking, food preparation, and cleanliness. The author gained hands-on experience at various outlets such as the pavilion and Surabaya Baking Company, and followed high standards of service and cleanliness. JW Marriott Surabaya is known as a luxury hotel with high standards and complete facilities. The hotel has various restaurants and eateries offering a variety of cuisines, including Indonesian, Chinese, steak, pastry, and specialty drinks. JW Marriott Surabaya has various dining outlets in the hotel, such as Tang Palace Chinese Restaurant serving dim sum and Cantonese buffet, Uppercut Steakhouse offering premium steaks and seafood, Lobby Lounge for drinks and light snacks, Surabaya Baking Company famous for its pastries and breads, and Wine & Co providing a variety of wine and liquor options. In addition, there is also an Executive Lounge that offers exclusive services for certain guests. This internship experience was very valuable because it helped me develop professional skills such as discipline, teamwork, and food safety, while providing insight into the world of hospitality and star-rated culinary.
